Heather Bleviria knows how far a dollar will go — about 15 miles per year.
Four years ago, she was going through the lunch line at the Rappahannock County Elementary School with her friend, Denise Eidson, when she impulsively scribbled her name and telephone number on the dollar she gave the cafeteria cashier.
Last week, Heather had a phone call. A woman who lives in Flint Hill was given a dollar in change with her lunch at Roy Rogers Restaurant in Falls Church and noticed a name written on the bill. She recognized the county’s 675 exchange and called Heather.
Excited about the travels of her dollar, Heather may next launch a message in a bottle in the Rappahannock River.
