The film The Displaced Person will be presented April 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the John Barton Payne Building in Warrenton by the Fauquier County Public Library.
Based on a short story by Flannery O’Connor, the 58minute program was originally aired on public television.
It dramatizes the destructive effects of the emotions kindled by the arrival of a family of Polish refugees in a rural Southern community alter World War II. Irene Worth and John Houseman are featured.
The showing is part of the library’s lecture discussion series on the Southern Literary Renaissance and Beyond.
