Congratulations to Merrill Strange who was the “2nd Place Winner” in the Fodderstack 10KM Classic race last Saturday in Washington. It wasn’t such an ideal morning to be racing with the high temperatures and thick humidity, but the diligent runners kept going. The crowd watched with admiration.
.ATTENTION: Tomorrow night (Friday, the 26th)-at the high school gym (8 p.m.)-is the big, variety show, “R.C.H.S. on Review”! There will be two professional guitarists-singers from Fairfax, our very own talented teens, and even a few of your favorite teachers performing on stage!! So if you want to have a great time, bring your claps and cheers, wear something comfortable, and support your high school youngsters!! This show is being sponsored by the R.C.H.r Booster Club with Ms. Hewitt and her jumping cheerleaders. Cost is $2.50 per person and $1.50 for students and children. COME ONE, COME ALL!!!!
Your correspondent was at the Fodderstack too, only she was there to observe the event, eat, shop and walk very slowly. She and her husband, Richard Schoppet, brought along their most adored houseguest, C. Jane Connell, who hails from Camarillo, California. They all had a wonderful three day visit, starting with dinner at The Inn at Little Washington, and a trip down Skyline Drive to Charlottesville. Jane fell in love with the dogwood trees, the deer, and of course “The Inn”.
