Community Concert Presents
Canterbury Trio “The Canterbury Trio”, the final presentation of the 1984-85 Community Concert series, will be on stage at the Culpeper High School on Saturday, April 27 at 8 p.m. This delightful trio has emerged as one of today’s finest young chamber ensembles. Violinist David Cereone, celist Jennifer Langham and pianist Anne Epperson are accomplished artists in their own right who have earned special recognition as soloists both in the United States and abroad. Their mutual love for chamber music inspired these brilliant American performers to create “The Canterbury Trio”, The Community Concerts membership drive is now underway. The drive will close on May 10. Transportation has been arranged for the 1985-86 series to members needing pickup and delivery service. There will be a 14-passenger van available and the transportation cost will be $3 for each concert in addition to membership fees for the season. For additional information contact Mrs. William H. Spefryville Ladies Auxiliary Dinner A Country Fried Chicken dinner sponsored by the Sperryville Ladies Auxiliary will be held on Saturday, May 11 at the Sperryville fire hall. In addition to the scrumptious chicken the menu will include a variety of vegetables, desserts, hot rolls, butter, tea and coffee. Carryout service will be from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. and serving time will begin at 5:30. Prices are $6 for adults and $3 for children. Tickets may be purchased in advance from any member or at the door. High School Spring Concert The Rappahannock High School ch <rus and art class will present „heir joint spring concert and art show Tuesday, April 30 at 8:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Admission is free.
Benefit Auction At Amissville Fire Hall A benefit auction will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Amissville fire hall. The event is being sponsored by the members of the Amissville Fire Department. Opportunities For Grafters The Sperryville Antique Market has openings available for craftpersons wishing to participate in its May 4-5 “Country Sampler” Craft Show.
