Meeting and being able to talk with all of those varied people was wonderful, but a lot of work for Cucie. “She would have to prepare seven to eight different foods for one meal because of the different eating habits of our guests,” Paul said. When friends of the Moslem faith came over, Cucie would have to be careful because they will not eat pork and become offended if they find that pork has been pre-* pared in the house or in any of the pots.
The last island the Baldwins lived on was Tarakan. Their two children, Teresa, 8, and Tommy, 4, were both bom in Indonesia and have dual citizenship. After 10 years in Indonesia, though, the Baldwins decided that if they were ever going to return to the States they would have make the move then.
