After the game Coach Dawson complained that his team was still making too many mental errors. “We’re not concentrating in the field,” he said. “And we’re still not hitting as we can. We hit too many pop-ups.” Dawson said the Panthers should have won the game 10 - 2, not 4 - 2.
Rappahannock and Clarke had seven team hits apiece. Porter hit 3 for 3 on the day, Mike Atkins hit 2 for 3. Porter struck out 8 and walked four. The Panthers are now 2 - 3 in the district and 3-4 overall.
