Summer Study Program
Wakefield is finalizing plans for a four week summer study program at Seale-Hayne College in Devonshire, England. The program, which is limited to 30 people, is open to students in grades 7-12. There are currently a few places left, and Headmaster William E. Lynn has expressed a desire to have qualified students from Rappahannock County join the group.
Seale-Hayne, a small residential college (vacated for the summer holidays) is located midway between the Dartmoor and the sea. The college is surrounded by farmland and South Devon is noted for its mild climate, fine beaches and points of historical interest.
The program will include sightseeing excursions to points of literary and historical interest including three days in London with additional trips to Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Stonehenge, Bath, Glastonburt, Berkely and Warwick castles.
