If, as some say, litter is a problem in the town, particularly in the Thornton River, there is an easy solution. On April 13 a clean-up crew dispatched itself to litter-lined Route 622 in Gid Brown Hollow. Within three hours a mountain of garbage had been cleared away. It took six people on a Saturday afternoon to handle most of the problem. That’s not a great expenditure in resources. The same types of clean-up crews could be unleashed in Sperryville.
Litter aside, Sperryville is sparkling. Congratulations to the town on its energy and optimism.
