Paintings At The Theatre

Seven paintings by Doug Ball of Warrenton are currently featured on the walls of the Gay St. Theatre in Washington. The theme of the series is couples dancing or embracing, executed in simple shapes that are clearly defined by line and bright colors. The exception is one contrasting piece where the couple is etched in black on a dark grey surface. These oil painting are a lively, decorative addition to the theatre’s lobby.
