Within three to four months, Cucie had learned enough of the language to be able to shop and carry on some conversation. “In the markets, you had to be able to speak enough of the language so that you could bargain,” Curie said. “They would always try to cheat you in the market.”
By this time, Paul was setting up oil drilling projects, building roads to the projects and then running the projects.
