Institution’s Office of Horticulture, gave an illustrated talk on the “Extravaganza of the Victorian Era” in the afternoon.
The morning lecturer was Christos Giftos, floral master and manager of social events for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City who kept his audience enthralled. His hands flew as he demonstrated his expertise in arranging the enoromous floral bouquets he constructs for visual impact in the huge Great Hall of the Metropolitan Museum.
It was a memorable day and all who participated expressed their appreciation to club member Helen Holschuh for arranging such a delightful trip.
