Virginia, reports that in the area that includes Fauquier and Rappahannock counties there is only a three days supply of Type 0 Positive blood. And last Thursday there were only 30 units of Type O Negative blood available for distribution to the hospitals in this area.
Fauquier Hospital reports no current difficulties in obtaining the blood it requires, although that has not been true for some times in the recent past.
The goal for the bloodmobile at the armory on Nov. 12 is 90 units.
