The annual meeting of the Hospice of the Rapidan will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the Precious Blood Catholic Church Parish Hall in Culpeper.
“Hospice is very pleased to announce that this year’s guest speakers will be Mrs. Pat Kelley and Ms. Maggie Callanan, nurses from the Hospice of Northern Virginia,” Tina Weaver, the Hospice’s executive director, announced.
“Both are world-renowned for their documentation and explanations of dying people’s communication. Often these attempts at communicating are dismissed as dreams or hallucinations which to the trained person become understandable and enlightening,” Mrs. Weaver said.
Pat Kelley has worked in Hospice care as an inpatient nurse, home care nurse and educator for more than five years. Maggie Callanan has been a Hospice home care nurse for the past five years. The speakers have shared their experiences with audiences throughout the world and
