Charles Bernard Gilpin, 81, of •Flint Hill, died Nov. 2 at the Lynn Care Center, Front Royal. He was a J retired mechanical engineer. b Mr. Gilpin was bom Jan. 11, J1906, in Lanham, Md., the son of the 'late Charles M. and Maggie Pierce '■Gilpin.
He was a member of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church, the ■Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Depart'ment, Mt. Carmel Masonic Lodge of ^Warrenton, the Apple Valley Beagle ‘’Club and the Winchester Chapter of ' the National Historical Railroad As' sociation.
Surviving are his wife Marie Gilpin of Leesburg, a son Kenneth Gilpin of Petersburg, Alaska, a j daughter Ann McCaffrey of Sterling, and five grandchildren, j » A memorial service will be con{ ducted at 2 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Flint j Hill United Methodist Church by the j Rev.
