“My impression is that Rae will be cooperative,” said council member Evelyn Willis. “If we have complaints I would hope that she would try to control and solve these things.”
Ms. Bruce requested that the council limit the hours of operation so that the neighborhood would retain its quiet character during the evening hours.
“It’s one thing,” Mrs. Thomasson replied, “to say not to interfere with the functions of the church. It’s another thing to limit hours unreasonably so that it looks like a ghost town when you walk home. Other things go on in the evenings in town.”
