The Rappahannock Library will have their annual book sale at the old library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.onjuly 4.
The Rappahannock News will also be closed. Early advertising deadlines for the July 4 issue are: combo real estate display advertising is 3 p.m. Thursday, June 27; combo display and classified advertising is 3 p.m. Friday, June 28 and local display and classified advertising is noon Monday, July 1.
Amissville Carnival opens
The annual Amissville Volunteer. TTre*t)epartmeht carnivaland parade will be held this week at the fire hall on U.S.211.
The parade will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 27. More than 100 units are entered in the parade.
Unlimited rides will cost $6 Thursday, Friday and Saturday. West Virginia Amusements is running the rides.
The honorary fire chief and the junior miss fire department will be crowned Friday night.
The raffle drawing, with prizes up to $1,000, will be held Saturday night.
