Kay Smith Larrieu of Wakefield School has been awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) fellowship for a summer seminar at St. Olaf College in Minnesota.
Ms. Larrieu, of Manassas, is one of 15 high school teachers from across the nation who will be an NEH fellow at the five-week seminar about Romano orator Cicero. Ms. Larrieu is a Medford, Minn., native and a 1962 graduate of Marian High School, Owatonna.
Ms. Larrieu is a member of Wakefield School’s Classical Language Department. She will receive a stipend of $2,575 to cover travel, study and living expenses.
