for Peruvian

Windflower Fine Arts Gallery in Washington is presenting its first one-person show, opening July 3.

“This is the first time for a show here,” Tanya ' Richey, gallery director said.

Opening the two back rooms for the show, the gallery will present Francisco Grippa of Peru.

Mr. Grippa’s one-man show exhibits paintings from the Amazon Period 1990-1991.

“We met and found we were both very interested in painting on various surfaces,” Mrs. Richey said, adding his work is bold, strong and colorful.

The huge canvases are splashed with brillant colors and images.

The artist was bom in Tumbes, Peru in 1942.

The gallery is located in the Clopton House on Main Street in Washington. Gallery hours are Thursday through Monday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
