the partners in the LOMP subdivision, had submitted a memorandum asking that the planners carefully consider all the provisions of the ordinance in evaluating Mr. Miller's application.
“I don’t think we want to repeat past mistakes,” Planning Commission Louise Van Dort said.
At the end of their review the planners asked Mr. Miller to make sure the survey noted that the property is in Rappahannock, not Fauquier County, provide a plat showing a secondary area for a septic drainfield, and post bond to insure compliance with requirements for curb and gutter along business 211, a requirement that Tow n Council can waive.
At the end of the review member Stuart Willis said he had no questions but wanted to express “my sadness that you’re dividing one of the prime properties in towm.”
Mr. Miller replied that he hoped to sell his property as a unit but wanted the subdivision in case he couldn’t.
Susan Parrish said she considered the subdivision “by right.” ;;
Col. Willis’s motion to recommend approval passed unanimously.

Air Force Tech. Sgt. Danny L. Jenkins of Boston, Va. has been defcorated with the Meritorious Service Medal.
The medal is awarded for outstanding non-combat meritorious achievement for service to the United States.
He is a curriculum and plans academic instructor school superintendent at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.
Sgt. Jenkins is the son of Shirley Jenkins of Boston.
