“If I don’t know the right person I can go to these people and tell them I’ve got a client with special needs. I’m going to give him a choice and if one of my recommendations don’t work we’ll keep going." said Mr. Remington.
In building his own house, Mr. Remington used the team approach that he espouses. The designer, his builder J.D. Richer of Warrenton and the land engineer/surveyor Fannie Baumgardner worked together on each phase of the project.
“It’s a team approach, and my role will be putting the team together," he said.
“The rapport between us was wonderful and that’s what you’ve got to have for success,” he said.
Now that his wife Isabelle has “made a home” of their new house, Mr. Remington is anxious to share his expertise with people of Rappahannock and Fauquier counties.
Mr. Remington will be charging a $150 retainer fee plus $75 an hour for his time. He estimated that he can assemble the entire team for about $300-$400.
