Keynote speaker for the meeting was John Edwards, president of Old Dominion Electric Cooperative. (Old Dominion is Rappahannock’s power supplier. Joining with Virginia Power, Old Dominion is constructing a generating plant at Clover, Va.)
Mr. Edwards reviewed the Clover project’s pre-construction developments, addressing in particular the environmental safeguards and permits that have been secured. The membership then endorsed a resolution supporting Rappahannock’s involvement in the plant’s construction.
