Cookout planned
All current members of the Rappahannock High band and chorus! and their parents are invited to a cookout scheduled for Sept. 11 to be! held at the Rappahannock Park in Washington. Besides being a social; event, business will be discussed concerning the upcoming fundraising; events for the year. Farmers in Rappahannock are banding together to aid their! brethren in Clarke County, one of many areas in the state hard-hit by! drought this summer. 1
The Rappahannock Farmer’s Association has arranged for Rappa-1 hannock-grown hay to be picked up by Clarke County farmers at! Bruce Vierling’s warehouse (next to Settle’s garage) in Flint Hill, 10! a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 7. ;

Tennis tournament
