“Experience is the best lesson,” Steve said, adding with each gig at country stores the band relaxes a bit more before the audience.
Nervous does not describe the feeling the four felt the first time they appeared on the porch at Viewtown Store.
“I think everyone was nervous,” Steve said, adding “we still are but we are working on it.”
“The stores give us a chance to get used to playing” before an audience, Steve said.
Offering favorites by Earl Scruggs, Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, and others, the four-man band perfects their music by listening.
“We get songs off the radio and some songbooks,” Steve said.
After three months of practice, three store gigs, the band is ready for more.
“We are getting real comfortable at Laurel Mills,” Steve said with a shy smile.
