Do you need to increase your current level of financial knowledge? Develop confidence in your decisionmaking ability? Gain control of your ■ life through informed money management? If you answered “yes” to these questions, the women’s financial information program can help you.
The Rappahannock Extension Homemakers, Rappahannock Extension Service, and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) are offering a seven-session workshop program beginning Sept. 16 at the Rappahannock Extension Office.
Especially designed for women, the Women’s Financial Information Program will include sessions on how to get organized - to identify where you are now and where you want to be; howto know where your money is going and why - to build financial security from the ground up; and how to create a budget, not just for necessities, but to allow for savings and a little more.
The program will teach the participants how to conduct financial inventories; how to design personal cash flow systems; how to make decisions about credit and loan institutions, insurance programs, investments, real estate and savings; how to plan for retirement; and more.
The speakers will be:
• Sept. 16 - Beverly Atkins. Commissioner of Revenue, will speak on “Getting Your Finances Organized: Where Are You Now? "Where Do You Want To Be?”
• Sept. 23 - Linda Coit, owner, to the Penny Bookkeeping Services, will speak on “How Does Your Cash Flow?”
• Sept. 30 — Pat Vest, Fam Bureau Insurance Company will speak on “Insurance.”
