holds meeting
The membership of Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) elected four directors for three-year terms at the organization’s annual meeting, held Aug. 24 at Courtland High School. Over 700 participated in the day’s events, which began with a health fair and buffet brunch.
Successful board candidates included Darlene H. Carpenter of Culpeper County, William E. Lane of Essex County, William Frazier of Hanover County, and Lee S. Estes of Greene County. Mrs. Carpenter had been challenged for her board position, the other candidates ran unopposed.
