When Mr. Day (that’s me) was divorced from Rappahannock and Eileen Day in 1969 it probably saved his life, it certainly saved her financial situation, what was left of it. You want a good subject for Blue Ridge Neighbors? There is one courageous, beautiful and resourceful woman who survived. There is an old saying, “I would rather have been an alcoholic than to have lived with one.”
Incidentally, I was accepted in a juried show at the Middle Street Gallery, but did not win an award. I should have — but the fix was on!
