..First person “character.” tours and historic tours , fof the art and architecture of the town will take visitors through the streets laid out by George himself in 1749. Beginning at 11:30 a.m. Saturday and 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, the tours will leave at every hour on the halfhour, concluding with candlelit tours through the gaily decqrated streets at night.
Tours will highlight a tastefully restored log home, contrasted with a new building constructed from logs salvaged from an old barn, a marvellous old “ordinary,” the impressive Courthouse complex, and the inviting bed-and-breakfasts. Strolling carollers will bring back fond memories of country Christmases past.
Throughout the village prominent professional crafters will be demonstrating their art. Demonstrations will include a variety of quilting techniques, silver and gold smithing, jewelry design, a foraculture artist
