The community ThanksgivingEve service will be held at Amissville United Methodist Church at 7:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Sid Rodriguez, pastor Forest Grove Baptist Church. The all-male band from Amissville Baptist will perform. Light refreshments following service.

Cancer chapter
earns award
The Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society was presented with the President's Cup award last week for increasing the total amount of funds raised by 15 percent during the last year, according to Carol Miller.
William C. Hazel, crusade chairman for the Virginia Division of the American Cancer Society, notified the Rappahannock Unit that it had earned the award last week.
