Inexperienced teams. Van DeBergh and Scott Updike of Washington, Va., Alex Kelly of Castleton and Anne Wadlow of The Plains earned
third place in competition against 16 other area schools. Amy Benedum of Marshall, Jed Davies of Warrenton and Mary Beth Williams of Flint Hill placed seventh.
Approximately eight teams competed at Level II, Inexperienced. These are students who are currently taking Latin II but have never competed in Certamen. Peter Culley of Summit Point, W.Va. and Tom Wadlow of The Plains earned fifth place for Wakefield.
