The Washington Planning Commission took up the proposed subdivision and site plan, ordinance and made some final recommendations Monday night.
They agreed not to make exceptions from the requirements for a $ite plan and secondary drainfield for single family dwellings or for lots created prior to 1981, when the current ordinance was adopted.
They decided to make exceptions for subdivisions approved under the current ordinance if the lot owners apply to the zoning administrator or Town Council and receive extensions of the rights they have under the current ordinance. , The motion to require site plans for developments passed 4-1, with member Stewart Willis opposed. Col. Willis said the site plan requirements should be in the zoning ordinance, not the subdivision ordinance.
