Nan McEvoy, chairman for the SHARE Host Site at Washington Baptist church, announced the signup dates for December.
Each month the SHARE food basket contains $30-$35 worth of groceries, for which participants pay $13 and contribute two hours of service to their community.
The SHARE Host Site at Washington Baptist Church invites all Rappahannock County residents to participate in SHARE in December. In order to do so, you must sign up with one of the following people:
Sandra Jenkins will take orders following church noon-12:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 at the Washington Baptist Church. Marie Riedel will take orders following masses at 10 a.m.10:30 a.m. and noon-12:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Washington.
Lillian Aylor will take orders at Promise Land Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m. Barbara Gentry, 675-3202, will take orders at the Senior Citizens Nutrition Site and May belle Gilkey, 635-5472, will take orders in Chester Gap.
Payment of $13 needs to be in cash or food stamps. At registration, participants will be given a community service voucher to complete and turn in on D-Day (Delivery Day).
The December Delivery Day is 10 a.m.-ll a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at Washington Baptist Church. All participants should pick up their groceries at this time.
