At the Theatre at Washington, Va. Michael Tolaydo of the Folger Shakespearean Theatre and D.C. actress Joan Hanson will star in a nostalgic recreation of a Victorian Christmas, “A Dickens of a Christmas!” featuring many of Charles Dickens’ colorful characters, including Mr. Pickwick, Mr. and Mrs. Fezziwig, Bob Cratchet, Tiny Tim, and Scrooge.

Area Christmas tree farmers will be joining this year’s celebration, offering visitors a brisk “cut-yourown” walk through acres of fir, pine, and spruce.

Parking and admission to the Colonial Christmas weekend festivities are free to the public. Admission fees are charged for “The Shepherd’s Play” and “A Dickens of a Christmas!”
