Georgia Browning
Georgia Kay Browning, 83, of Richmond, formerly of Flint Hill, died Monday, Nov. 18 at the Hermitage Nursing Home in Richmond.
A graveside service was conducted Wednesday, Nov. 20 at the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal by the Rev. Merlin Shorb.
Mrs. Browning was born Oct. 29, 1908 in Caroline County, the daughter of the late Maurice B. and Ellen B. Boulware Kay. She was retired as a nurse for Johnson-Willis Hospital in Richmond. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Richmond, the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary and the Flint Hill Bridge Club. She was the wife of the late John S. Browning.
Surviving are two sons, John B. Browning of Charlottesville and Dr. Edgar K. Browning of College Station, Texas; three sisters, Lucy Ellen Kay of Mechanicsville, Bessie Derieux of Richmond and Nell Shute of Sun City, Fla.
