Another recent knock at his door brought a local 13-year-old boy’s complaint that state law restricts use of jet skis to those under 14. Del. Wood said he’ll work on a bill that allows anyone, whatever their age, to operate the waterborne bike, provided they can pass a standard test.
“Sometimes you can help. Sometimes you refer them to someone else. I think that’s what they want,” he said.
Del. Wood said, that if feasible he’ll open a part-time office in Warren or Rappahannock counties. While wanting to ensure he doesn’t concentrate on Fauquier County at the expense of the other two counties in his district, Del. Wood says there may be limits to his movements.
“In the rural areas, it’s a little bit difficult,” he said.
