Mr. Johnson asked the other two members present about how he should arrange to connect into the sewage lines for a subdivision he owns. He said one lot had been built on and the owner was ready to connect to the system. There are four other lots in the subdivision.
He explained that the main line as it runs along Route 671 crosses the road at two points. He said he could tap on at either end where the line is on the same side of the road as the subdivision or cross the under the road from the roadway serving the subdivision and tap in there.
The other two said they would prefer either the connection across the road or the one closer to Sperryville, but he could use the third if that proved easiest.
Mr. Estes asked the other two to consider the potential impact of the proposed Sperryville bypass for U.S. 522 and Route 231 on the sewage treatment plant.
The members approved a motion saying the plant would require that access to the plant not be cut by the road since the WSA could not afford to put in a road and build a bridge across the Thornton River. They also agreed that when and if the bypass is built they would install several “sleeves” under the road to provide for additional lines coming into the plant.
