Students from Wakefield School in Marshall competed in the American Alliance of Physical Education Physical Fitness Test during their physical education classes. The test has five sections: sit and reach, pullups, sit-ups, a mile run, and shuttle runs.
Head of the athletic department, Rob Saville, was very pleased that four students earned the Presidential Award, which requires that they place in the top 85th percentile of all five categories in a particular age group. Winners of the Presidential Medal were Alexis Burton and Jonathan Will of Warrenton, Seth Roberts of Paris and Justine Neale of Haymarket.
