Airman sent

Strother Thomas Brown, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Strother Brown of Sperryville, left Sept. 10 for basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.
A 1991 graduate of Rappahannock High, he has finished basic training and flown to Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, where he is stationed.

The new Rappahannock Scholars program at RCHS is featured in the current issue of the Virginia Journal of Education.
Students who are on last year’s honor roll and were absent 15 days or fewer are eligible. This year only 33 of the 360 students at RCHS are Rappahannock Scholars.
