Spaghetti dinner
A spaghetti dinner will be held beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Flint Hill fire hall. The menu will consist of homemade spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, drinks and dessert. Cost will be $6 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under. The dinner is sponsored by the Flint Hill United Methodist Church and will benefit the organ fund, The Shorb Brothers will also present their Christmas concert at the dinner.
Bingo at Amissville
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department began its special bingo on Monday, Nov. 4. Bingo will be held beginning at 6:45 p.m. Monday evenings until further notice. There will be a $500 jackpot. Call Sheila at 937-4357 for more information.
Citrus fruit on sale
Several groups in the county will be selling fruit until Dec. 2 to help raise money for their respective organizations. Naval oranges ($18 box, $11 1/2 box), red grapefruit ($17 box, $11 1/2 box) and juice oranges ($15 box and $9 1/2 box) are being sold by the RCHS band, the RCHS chorus and the 7th grade students of RCES. Rainforest group to meet
The Rappahannock Rainforest Action Group will meet on Thursdays through the month of November. The meetings will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Windflower Gallery. The meetings are open to the public and anyone interested in protecting the rainforests are urged to attend. For more information call 987-9438 or 987-9535.
Carollers needed
The Town’s Colonial Christmas celebration is in need of carollers for Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8. Beverly and Ellen will coordinate the carollers and assist with the colonial costumes.
