Another outstanding runner in the team’s first meet was Sari Pellinen. Sari, an exchange student from Finland, placed second in the meet, and said she was quite ‘surprised.1 Coached by Tim Corder, this team may be one of Rappahannock’s finest.
The Lady Panthers played the Generals of Stonewall Jackson on Thursday night. While both the J.V. and Varsity teams played hard, they failed to come up with a win. Coach van de Graff commented that the team is missing Mrs. Renee Leake’s ‘expert coaching, and is looking forward to her return next year.*
