Birthday congrats to Jo Mills Sept. 14, Jim Mills Sept. 16 and Mike Burns Sept. 17.

Doris Tolbert Jennings celebrated her 96th birthday with a red and white banquet hosted by her family and friends on Friday, Sept. 4. The banquet was held at Bethel Baptist Church.

Friends and five generations of family were in attendance and good food and fellowship was ei\joyed by all.

pishes, flatware, linen and accessories were donated to the church in her honor.

In Ruritan news, congratulations to Mrs. Rose Bowey who won the door prize at the “Senior Citizens” dinner last Thursday. She won a $10 gift certificate from Hackley’s Store. Ginny Pierson catered the dinner.

Attention all members. Please provide Bill Segrest with projects, number of hours volunteered, and monetary amounts for community service from Sept. 1, 1991 to Aug. 31, 1992. This information is needed for completion of reports due to Ruritan National by Oct. 1. Mail information to him at Route 2, Box 526, Amissville 22002.

Also, call Bill at 937-4604 by Oct. 1 to sign up for Family Night to be held at Vint Hill Farms Stations on Oct. 15. The commander, Col. Rick Davis, will conduct a tour of the museum at 6 p.m. and then join the Ruritan8 for dinner at the Officers Club.

All members are encouraged to attend a special business meeting at the Ruritan Building at 7 p.m. on Oct. 1.
