Despite the unwanted, formidable rain on Sunday, Sept. 6, 80 Beahms and descendants, gathered in the Rappahannock Park for their ninth annual reunion. The children ignored the showers and enjoyed the new castle in the playground, while the older generation huddled around the coffee urn for warmth and catching up with the latest events in the families.
James Galloway again emceed the program. A major decision was made by all attendees to fence the pioneer cemetery located in Rocky Branch of Page County where the original immigrant and many of his descendants are buried. This is the oldest Beahm cemetery in Virginia.
Dorothy Galloway gave a talk on some of the events during the Beahm-Moyer-Myers reunions of 1928-1940.
