September is the month for 4-H dubs in Rappahannock County to get organized for the new 1992-93 year. If you have children who are between the ages of 9 and 18, they’re invited to join one of our 4-H clubs. “We have both community and project dubs,” according to Helen flmith, Extension agent, i The clubs meet monthly for an Educational program or workshop. Youth also participate in special Events throughout the year like the 4-H presentation contest, 4-H famps, the Farm Show, Achievement Night, and community service projects.
The following is a list of club meetings. Call one of the leaders listed below or the Extension Office at 675-3619 for more information. I • 4-H Junior Garden Club - 3:305 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Extension Office.
• AmissviUe 4-H Club ^ 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 24. Organization meeting, enrollment forms, elect hew officers, bring a scrapbook and 4-H news articles, pictures, ribbons from the Farm Show, etc. to make a 4-H scrapbook for Achievement Night.
• 4-H Teen Club - 4:30-7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25. Attention all teens! Join us for a fun-filled afternoon doing the Teen Club’s community service project (trash pickup) followed by a pizza party.
Meet at the Extension office at 4:30 p.m. to get orange highway blazers and trash bags. We will start on the west end of town to pick up trash and finish at the east end, then go to the Rec Center for a pizza
