The Oct. 2nd First Friday program at Rappahannock County Library will feature Keith Melder, author of “Hail to the Candidate: Presidential Campaigns From Banners to Broadcasts. ’’
As Curator of Political History at the National Museum of American History, Smithsonian Institution, Dr. Melder has many historical interpretive exhibits to his credit, including in 1988-89, "The Perpetual Campaign,” about the American people and their presidents. In addition to his recent book, Dr. Melder has also published “Beginnings of Sisterhood: The American Woman’s Rights Movement 1800-1860” and a textbook on Washington, D.C. entitled “City of Magnificent Intentions."
