Hylton named
Cadet Officer
Jonathan P. Hylton, a Fork Union senior who is the son of Mr.! and Mrs. C.K. Hylton of Washington participated in a two-week Offi-' cers Training Program at Fork Union Military Academy (FUMA), where he earned the honor to serve as First Sergeant of “A” Company in the Upper School.
As First Sergeant, Hylton will be an important part of a Cadet Officer Staff that will lead a group of 100 cadets throughout the school year. There are only five First Sergeants within the entire Corps of Cadets, which consists of over 600 students from 36 states and 12 foreign countries.
Hylton has been an exemplary cadet at the Academy for the past three years in the areas of leadership and responsibility, and has also been an active team member of the FUMA wrestling and lacrosse squads.
