Cynthia Diane Carroll and Ricky Shelton Kennedy were married at noon on July 25 at Duck United Methodist Church in Duck, N.C. The Rev. William Ruth performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen McCauley of Kitty Hawk, N.C., and the late Frederick Carroll. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Donald of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., formerly of Castleton and Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Carroll of New Port Richey, Fla.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Kennedy of Suffolk, Va., and the grandson of Mrs. Annie Copeland of Windsor, Va. and Mr. . and Mrs. Young Kennedy of Matewan, W.Va. - Escorted to the altar by her stepfather, the bride wore a white satin gown with a sweetheart neckline. .The bodice and cap sleeves were handbeaded with pearls and iridescent sequins. The full skirt and cathedral train fell to a scalloped hemline of Schiffli lace and were accented with inserts of Schiffli lace, small satin bows and pearls. Her veil of illusion fell from a small pouf and a headpiece of lace and pearls. Her bouquet was a colonial arrangement
