New members welcomed
Middle Street Gallery, founded in 1986 and located in Washington, Va., is broadening its base of artists. A new category called “Exhibiting Member” has been created. Beginning in 1993, artists may show work on a regular basis without the commitment of time and energy of the executive artist members who do the nuts and bolts work of managing Middle Street. Exhibiting members pay a years fee of $100, receive a 70 percent commission on work sold and pay half of expenses for one-person shows. They are welcome to all gallery meetings and to become executive members who pay no fees. All artists are juried into the gallery.
