Sperryville’s Apple Harvest Festival will be held from 10

Sperryville’s Apple Harvest Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 3 and 4, rain or shine. The event is sponsored by the Sperryville Business Council and the following business members will be having special activities and sales.

Sperryville Antique Market will feature special antique sales and a bake sale sponsored by the ladies of First Baptist Church.

Special furniture sales, arts and crafts of every sort, children’s games and live entertainment can be found at That Sperryville Emporium.

A Petting Goat Zoo sponsored by Dionis Goats Milk Soap of Charlottesville can be found at The Church Mouse from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4. On both days in their parking lot the Sperryville Fire Department will be selling hamburgers and hot dogs and John’s famous funnel cakes will be available both days also.

The Grim Pickers will be performing at The Faith Mountain Company both days. Spinning demonstrations, catalog closeout sales and free cider and other refreshments will be featured.

Southern Drawl Artworks will offer 20 percent off selected framed artwork.

Country Home Antiques will host John Jackson from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. An apple butter boiling demonstration will be held on Saturday. Also available will be barbecue sponsored by Reformation Lutheran Church, Amish baked goods and special antique sales.

Elmer’s Antiques will feature special antique sales.

On up the road at Parkway Gift Shop there will be special furniture sales and food.

Country Manor will offer inhouse catalog clearance overstock sales.

Also Rappahannock apples, homemade cider, jellies, jams and pumpkins can be found at every business and fruit stand on U.S. 211.
