Colonial Christmas caroling
The Colonial Christmas committee is searching for carolers for Dec. 5 and 6. Caroling takes place between noon and 5 p.m. each day. You may join the group for one day or for both days. If you are interested in caroling for Colonial costume, please call Ellen Manson at 6751349.
Jenkins family reunion
Family and friends of the late Dolan and Jessie Jenkins will hold their annual family reunion beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Bing Crosby Stadium. Everyone is asked to bring a picnic lunch.
Crab feast
Child Care and Learning Center will be sponsoring its second annual crab feast from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Amissville fire hall. This all-you-can-eat menu includes crabs, cole slaw, beans, hot dogs and drinks. All tickets sold in advance, $16 for adults, $8 for children under 12. Stop by the CCLC for your tickets. Proceeds to benefit CCLC.
Harvest dinner planned
The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary to the fire company will sponsor a fall harvest dinner beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The menu will consist of ham, turkey and all the trimmings along with ice tea, coffee and dessert. The price will be $8 for adults and $4 for children. Tickets will be available at the door. For more information call 675-3663.

Electric Coop meeting
Administrative members from Rappahannock Electric Cooperative will appear at a special meeting from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8 to answer questions in reference to frequent power outages and the upcoming rate increase. Oktoberfest to be held
St. John School in Warrenton will be holding their 13th annual Oktoberfest from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16 and Saturday, Oct. 17. This event features beautiftil handmade crafts, baked items, mouth-watering German food, children’s games and live entertainment. “Please plan on spending your day with us in the beautiftil Warrenton countryside and help make our fair a success,” said an organizer.
