Sen. Charles S. Robb said a crime bill approved by the Senate Friday 95-4, “Puts the federal government’s crime-fighting resources where they are needed most--on our streets and in our schools.”
“This crime bill goes straight to the heart of the matter,” said Robb. “It puts 100,000 more police walking the beat, and is carefully crafted to make sure those officers are assigned to the streets and not to an administrative job.”
