Prenuptial parties includes a bruch hosted by Mrs. Harvey E. Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Dallas H. Reid and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Barry, all of Richmond, at the Front Royal Country Club. A shower was hosted by Mrs. J. Stewart Willis at her home, Mt. Prospect, in Washington.
Dr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Patteson, III, Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Ladd, Dr. and Mrs. Charles M. Huber and Dr. and Mrs. James E. Williams held a bruch at the Pattesons’ home in Rockland, and a cocktail buffet was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. John C. H. Hooff and Mrs. Jack Brown at the Hooffs home, Cumberland, in Sperryville. Mrs. William Bennet and Mrs. Joyce G. Dent, aunts of the bride, gave a luncheon at the Winchester Gold Club.
A bridesmaid luncheon hosted by Mrs. William Wilson and Miss Jennifer Wilson was given at their home, The Chester House, and a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom at his home in Front Royal.
Mrs. Blanton was graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in horticulture. She is employed by The Inn at Little Washington. Mr. Blanton was graduated from the Medical College of Virginia, and is a pharmacist employed the Family Pharmacy in Front Royal.
Upon their return from a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple are residing at their home in Front Royal.
